Why Therapy Works

Therapy is known by some as the "talking cure." While there are many approaches to therapy, most methods focus on helping the individual gain insight into their past or present problems. My approach to therapy is eclectic in nature. This approach is such that I may tailor plans for emotional improvement based on the individual. Certain forms of therapy work better for certain emotional problems; thus, I feel that employing an eclectic approach helps me utilize the best or most effective methods for each specific problem.
